The Checkout solution is PCI DSS certified. Accordingly, PostFinance only works with PCI certified partners so as to meet the relevant requirements in Switzerland and abroad. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) includes the permanent protection of data held on Checkout, ensured with annual audits.

I acknowledge and consent to my data and the data of my shoppers being stored by software provider Wallee Ltd, Winterthur in encrypted form in the data cloud of Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg (subsidiary of Amazon Web Services Inc., USA) on its servers in Ireland and being verified by the Web Application Firewall (WAF) from Cloudflare Inc., USA. To check the data for malware, the WAF has to decrypt it for a short time. This process is a mandatory PCI directive which serves to protect your data. The data decrypted in the WAF checking process abroad is no longer subject to Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection or banking secrecy, rather the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other applicable legal systems. I hereby undertake to inform my shoppers of this. This duty to provide information is an element of Swiss data protection legislation.

Our plug-ins are tested with the standard configurations of the compatible shop software. I acknowledge that in case of modifications of the plug-ins or specific configurations of the shop software PostFinance cannot guarantee a proper functioning. In case of specific adaptations of their shop software, PostFinance recommends to test the functionality free of charge before concluding the contract (test-mode).
